Job Description:
This individual will be responsible for solution design, integration, data sourcing and transformation, database design and development (logical / physical) and tool implementation related to data warehousing in the retail industry (responsibility level will be commensurate with the position level and will begin in a learning mode).
Interface with Teradata engineering staff as needed to resolve complex technical issues
Specify, demonstrate and scope Teradata solutions that deliver business value to the client / prospect.
Transfer knowledge and expertise to other TERADATA professional services associates.
Provide technical expertise to data warehouse clients that will contribute to innovative business solutions.

Qualifications
•     B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science
•     2-5 years of Teradata support experience
•     2 + years’ experience with UNIX/Linux operating system.

•     2 + years’ experience with SQL/PLSQL, relational data management

•     Experience in a scripting language, preferably python or shell
•     Good understanding of distributed computing technologies, networking.
•     Experience in Teradata Aster database
•     Good Communication Skills. This role involves good amount of Customer Interaction at global level
•     Cultural awareness
•     Experience working with relational databases, and distributed computing technologies.
•     Knowledge on Postgres database.
•     Knowledge in database connectivity drivers (like ODBC, JDBC) desirable
•     C/C++ Language
•     Experience analyzing data
•     Closed Loop/Corrective Action experience
•     Experience with application programming
•     Association with a development environment
